About our President
Melissa Scruggs, President of the newly formed organization, Financial Talent Group specializes in direct hiring placement of highly skilled accounting, finance, administrative and executive professionals throughout Colorado.
Scruggs and her team at FTG utilize their local, professional partnerships to identify standout talent and provide career engagement for candidates in search of new opportunities. FTG is founded on strong leadership principles with the mission to provide superior customer service, transparent communication and guaranteed satisfaction.
In her former role, Scruggs served as Vice President & Director of a global Fortune 500 staffing organization for more than 15 years, managing the growing footprint in Southern Colorado by hiring, mentoring and training recruiting staff. She consistently exceeded budgeted financial goals, while maintaining customer satisfaction. She led sales teams at Hewlett Packard within the Public Sector line of business for nearly five years. Scruggs also managed corporate travel and corporate travel procurement with Maritz Travel. She was the recipient of the “Reach for the Stars” award, nine years in a row, and received accolades for her production and leadership.
Scruggs is a Colorado native with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and is proud to raise her two boys in the same growing community. She is actively involved in local organizations serving as Board Chair for the Better Business Bureau of the Pikes Peak Region-Southern Colorado, a Board Member for the Accounting Advisory Board with Pikes Peak State College, the past President of the Pikes Peak Institute of Management Accountants, a member University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Employer Advisory Counsel and an active supporter of Head Start and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Most recently, she serves on the board of directors for Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
