Do you enjoy helping small business clients with accounting and establishing best practices? Our client is a non-traditional CPA firm offering Accounting Services to their small business clients. The organization offers life work balance, a casual work environment to include attire and a fun, family friendly culture. Our client is adding a Senior Accountant to the team due to company growth. The Senior Accountant will be the main point of contact within the Accounting Services Department onboarding new clients and helping to manage the monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting bookkeeping needs. The Accounting Services Department will perform all of the day-to-day accounting functions.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for classifying, recording, reconciling, reviewing, and analyzing financial transactions to ensure client financial records are accurate and maximizing value to the client’s bottom line. The Senior Accountants efforts empower the team to provide timely financial and tax advisement based on patterns and gaps in efficiencies for small business clients.
General Duties:
• Curate and develop long-term relationships with clients as a trusted advisor and strategic partner that empowers clients to make educated financial decisions
• Represent the company as a brand ambassador
• Leverage industry expertise and hospitality in both client and community interactions
• Drive processes, productivity, and efficiency standards
• Proactively manage vendor relationships, establish expectations, deadlines, and communication channels
• Proactively recognize, anticipate, and resolve issues; make valuable recommendations
• Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Code documents according to company procedures
• Train, mentor, and provide work direction to team members, lead the charge for our growing team
• Communicate / interact directly with external customers
• Administrative duties as needed
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on innovative solutions for our growing client base Accounting
Responsibilities:
• Ensures financial transactions and reporting are complete and accurate
• Streamlining operations and accounting tasks for members
• Managing standard accounting of multiple members, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting, and revenue recognition when needed
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for members regularly
• Ensures systems or function are operating according to organizational and industry procedures and guidelines
Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5+ years of client-based accounting experience required
• Active CPA license highly preferred
• QuickBooks Online Experience or equivalent accounting software experience
